đ¶Parodies & MUSIC
I love writing song parodies! đŒ indicates nonparody music stories, at bottom. My 'Mercedes Ivy' parody is on YouTube. The Zoomabomber story is a Dr. Seuss parody.
*pinned to top* A 16th birthday surprise for my daughter + my first song parody. Recorded by my multitalented cousin, Art Rude. R.I.P., Art. I miss you.
This parody, which is more poem than song because it doesn't match to the original's cadences, veered off in an unexpected direction.
Thanks, David Perlmutter, for the inspiration.
Published after Borne 2 Be While, but written first when its title jumped into my head one evening and the rest flowed out. It was so much fun I couldn't stop with one Wild song.
This is my 2nd parody inspiration regarding Wordle and a classic rock song featuring the word WHILE, but it got published first. Stay tuned for While Thing!
This was extra enjoy to write! Stay tuned for more Wordle-ized parodies.
Sadly, we're reduced to meeting virtually this year and only a few mudditors are able to participate. Keep your fingers crossed for a full-on Comedy Camp in 2023!
"The Restroom Door Said Gentlemen" is my daughter's and my all-time favorite Christmas song.
Merry Xmas! This is my 80th published story.
Parody as pandemic stress relief.
Writing this served to blow off steam. Dr. Seuss was SO talented, and writing in his style is a lot of fun.
A small plug for our zoomathon, which was zoomabombed so didn't happen.
One for the Captain and one for me. Neil Diamond is a pleasure to parody -- easier than other artists I've experimented upon.
An entry for Smillew Rahcuef's writing challenge! I was on a gazing-into-Muddy's navel kick for sure. Happy to explain in-jokes if needed.
Why aren't there more free-use pictures of sexy Asian guys? Something should be done about that.
Parody of a Matt Lillywhite story, only longer. And, I assume, much less of a moneymaker for its author.
My brother David complimented me on this poem. But not via comment -- he keeps a low profile on Medium. Thanks, bro.
This one was challenging but fun. Lollipops was harder to write.
People seem to like this parody.
Earworms are the downside of writing song parodies.
