This is either SQUAB English story #1 or Wordle story #13. Hope I'm getting better at writing understandably in the language of five-letter words, which I've dubbed "SQUAB English" (a play on words of "pidgin English").
Don't worry, this isn't exactly a 5-letter wordy story, tho I originally intended to make it so.
TwitterX has lost whatever faint amount of charm it had for me. Haven't been on there at all for a while.
Based on a story my mother told repeatedly when I was little. Surprised it took me this long to remember it!
A MuddyUm advertisement for Gary Chapin's excellent contest idea.
Fellow Mudditor Gary kindly featured me in MuddyUm newsletter devoted to Wordle. I find my earliest Wordle stories embarrassing now.
It's 420 Day, yay! If you'd told me in 1976 I'd be celebrating pot in 2023, I'd have thought you were on something that law-abiding me had/has zero interest in. This is story #1 of 2--the 2nd may be found here: https://medium.com/@seethings99/list/essays-tmi-including-humor-seethings99-3fe4df546abd
Wordle story #13. Not sure it's "funny enough" for MuddyUm but WTH, let's keep the Wordleish stories together.
My first response to Hogan Torah's quickie challenge. Don't miss Smillew Rahcuef's latest attempt at making publication history, 💯 STORIES BY 💯 WRITERS!
My second response to Mr. Autofill's challenge. Paradoxically, #1 will be published in Smillew Racuef's '100 Stories by 100 Writers' publication on 10/17/2022.
Wordle story #11. Barenaked Ladies' lyrics contained a lot of 5-letter words already! I shook them up a bit.
Wordle story #10, in which I reimagine quotes from Monty Python's Flying Circus using as many vaguely applicable 5-letter words as possible.
Insanity inspired by an Andrew Rodwin story which, purportedly, he wrote while impaired. I wrote parts of it while under the influence of an edible.
Wordle story #9 - malapropian Betty White & Mae West quotes, rounding up those left over from their prior stories.
Wordle story #7 in classic rock song parody form -- wordy salad, almost entirely of valid Wordle words. Published after Borne 2 Be While, but written first. It was so much fun I couldn't stop with one Wild song.
